It's always exciting to be part of Northern Redbacks, but the next few weeks are shaping up to be one of the most thrilling periods ever for the club and our players.
Our Gothia Cup - The World Youth Cup squad is getting ready for our first ever game in the tournament on Monday afternoon Swedish time, and they will then experience the unique thrill of being flag bearers for Australia in the 2019 opening ceremony in the evening.
On the same day, Annaleisha Pickering will represent the Football West U15's State girls squad in the National Championships in Coffs Harbour, NSW whilst our Prems captain Shawn Billam is the team manager for the U14's at the same tournament, which runs from the 15th to the 20th of July.
From the 21st to the 27th of July, Grace Monteiro and Alix Davis from our U23's squad will travel to Canberra to take part in the National NTC challenge.
Yesterday, our U16's won the Australind Cup to claim the clubs first silverware of the season, and members of our U14's and U18's took part in the juniors march past before the Perth Glory and Manchester United game at Optus Stadium.
All 3 of our junior teams are in the top 3 of their leagues and have quarterfinals in their cups coming up, whilst our Prems are 3rd in the league and in the semi-final of their cup.
None of this success would be possible without the hard work of our committee and coaches and the fantastic support from parents and families.
Good luck to all players, teams and coaches for the rest of the season!
